<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device employing a lateral electric field mode that can suppress wiring resistance and suppress decrease in drive speed of the liquid crystal display device even though the number of pixels is increased, and provide a manufacturing method for the same. <P>SOLUTION: At an intersection between a first wire and a second wire, one wire is disconnected and the disconnected wire is linked with a connection electrode on an insulation film, thereby reducing the parasitic capacitance. At the same time as the formation of a first electrode layer serving as a pixel electrode and a second electrode layer serving as a common electrode, the connection electrode is formed and the thicknesses thereof are increased and the use of metal with low wiring resistance can reduce the resistance due to the wires, thereby providing a liquid crystal display device that can suppress decrease in drive speed of the liquid crystal display device and a manufacturing method for the same. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
