<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the number of times an optical disk device can perform overwrite recording. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk device comprises: a control part for receiving a recording command that designates a recording area and instructs to perform recording, and transfer data; a check part for checking the transfer data against existing data of the optical disk. When the control part receives the recording command and the transfer data, the check part checks the transfer data against the existing data, and then a part of the transfer data, different from the existing data, is overwritten and recorded on an optical disk. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
