A method for the determination of orientation and form of optical indicatrix in crystals wherein the sample is studied in reflected polarized light. One determines positions of extremes of the dependence of effective refraction index on the angle of turn of the crystal with respect to vertical axis, those show the directions of the main axes of the indicatrix. |
