The assembling method involves connecting glass panels (2) to a spacer (3) by a heat-activatable adhesive. The heat-activatable adhesive is heated to the activation temperature by the spacer being heated. The spacer is heated by applying an electrical voltage through resistance heating. The electrical voltage is applied on two corners of the spacer that are opposite to one another.
