A method and device for reporting information are disclosed. The method includes: acquire event information after a reporting and/or enforcement function detects the event, report the event information according to a control policy. The device includes: an event detecting unit for detecting information reports, a policy controlling unit for matching the event with corresponding policy information and controlling a processing unit to process the information report according to the policy information, a report processing unit for creating and sending the information report.
