METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING E-BOOK CONTENTS SERVICE

PURPOSE: An e-book contents service device and a method thereof are provided to efficiently use high class e-book contents in one e-book terminal device by using high class e-book data structure which is compatible with existing electronic publication contents. CONSTITUTION: An e-book structure interpreting unit(100) checks file structure and a table of contents structure by reading an e-book standard file provided from a terminal driving unit(10). The e-book structure interpreting unit selectively extracts e-book contents of open publication structure or basic e-book contents according to a checking result about the file structure and the table of the contents. A contents playing unit(102) commands the terminal driving unit for playing the e-book contents of the open publication structure or the basic e-book contents.
