<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure freedom of a fixed chamber capacity of a metering valve mechanism while making use of components of an existing valve mechanism when setting the metering valve mechanism of an aerosol-type product. <P>SOLUTION: An additional unit comprising an upper cover 6 and a lower cover 7 is put outside a housing 4. When a stem 2 is pressed downward, a seal working surface 3a of a stem extension member 3 connected with the stem 2 first closes a content inlet 8 and forms a metering chamber inside the additional unit and the housing 4. When the stem 2 is further pressed, a hole 2b moves to be lower than a stem rubber, and therefore an internal passage region 2a and the metering chamber communicate with each other to have the contents in the metering chamber discharged. When the stem 2 is released from the pressure, the communication is canceled and the content inlet 8 is opened.
