摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve image quality by performing correction processing for an image with higher precision. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is an image processing device which performs correction processing for an image including processing target pixels to be processed. The image processing device extracts an image area of predetermined size including the processing target pixels. Then the image processing device calculates a variation quantity relating to the image area from signal values of pixels included in the image area. Further, the image processing device calculates the number of variation times in the image area from the signal values of the pixels included in the image area. Furthermore, the image processing device calculates correction intensity Fz1, Fz2, and Fe from the number of variation times and the variation quantity by using setting means for setting correspondence relation among the number of variation times, the variation quantity, and the correction intensity, and performs the correction processing for signal values of the processing target pixels with the calculated correction intensity. Here, the setting means sets the correspondence relation so that the correction intensity Fz1, Fz2, and Fe gradually vary with different numbers of variation times and variation quantities. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p>
