The filter cloth (2) has a woven fabric turned downwardly in an edge region (22) such that a filter cloth region (23a) is arranged on another filter cloth region (23b). The both regions are partially connected with each other by individual welding connections that are spaced from each other. The fabric is made of thermoplastic material e.g. polypropylene, polyethylene terephthalate and polyamide, and/or organic fibers e.g. cotton and glass- or carbon fibers. An accommodating space (24) is formed in the edge region to accommodate a flexible accommodating body (25) e.g. O-ring and string. An independent claim is also included for a filter plate. |
