PURPOSE: A reinforced earth retaining wall structure for purifying contaminated water on a road in the rainy season is provided to prevent the collapse of an earth layer on a slope by blocking earth pressure. CONSTITUTION: A reinforced earth retaining wall structure for purifying contaminated water on a road in the rainy season comprises footing concrete(1), reinforcement blocks(2), contaminated water purification blocks(3), geogrids(6), an U-shaped side ditch(7), and a perforated pipe(8). The footing concrete is placed on an inclined earth layer of a road and fixes the reinforcement blocks. The reinforcement blocks are fixed to the footing concrete and prevent the collapse the contaminated water purification blocks. The contaminated water purification blocks are piled up between the reinforcement blocks and the perforated pipe. The geogrids are horizontally buried in the ground and reinforce the inclined earth layer. The side ditch is installed on the uppermost end of the contaminated water purification blocks and guides rainwater overflowing the road. The perforated pipe is installed between the contaminated water purification blocks and the inclined earth layer and discharges contaminated water to the contaminated water purification blocks.
