PURPOSE: Methods and apparatuses for operating a subframe and transmitting channel state information for controlling interference in a communication system are provided to eliminate an influence of interference on resource usage in a macro base station by controlling the interference received from a terminal in the macro base station. CONSTITUTION: A macro base station transmits uplink protection subframe information to neighboring base stations(601). The macro base station determines an uplink protection subframe for controlling uplink transmission in the terminal of the macro base station. The macro base station performs scheduling(602). The macro base station does not perform scheduling for the uplink protection subframe in order to prevent uplink transmission from the terminal of the macro base station in the uplink protection subframe. The macro base station transmits scheduling information according to a scheduling result(603).
