摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal output device and a robot controller that can output both a sink type output signal and a source type output signal depending on external equipment, and that enable common use of components required for switching the output signal. <P>SOLUTION: A signal output device has: control terminals 23a and 24a to which a control signal for on-off controlling an output current is input; an output terminal for sink 28a and a common terminal for sink 28b configured to be an output terminal pair outputting a sink current from one terminal by energization between the terminals; an output terminal for source 29b and a common terminal for source 29a configured to be an output terminal pair outputting a source current from one terminal by energization between the terminals; and a switching device 15 connected between one control terminal and one output terminal pair, and on-off controlling the energization of the output terminal pairs based on the control signal from the control terminal.
