<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion gate which protects the upper and lower ends of a diagonally installed members of a pantograph mechanism from damage caused by contact with other objects, resulting in enhanced strength of the upper and lower ends of the diagonally installed members, improved durability, and good appearance. <P>SOLUTION: Diagonally installed members 2 and 3 formed from a metal pipe material with a quadrilateral cross section include first and second opposing side portions 23 and 23, and 24 and 24 having upper edges 23a and 24a and lower edges 23b and 24b, with projected circular arc shape, respectively. An upper end cap 29 and a lower end cap 30 are fitted in the upper and lower ends of the diagonally installed members 2 and 3, respectively. The upper end cap 29 and the lower end cap 30 are provided with respective plug legs 29a and 30a, head-side edges 29b and 30b with projected circular arc shape formed at the plug legs 29a and 30a respectively, and collars 29c and 30c formed along the respective outer peripheries of the head-side edges 29b and 30b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
