摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a glass substrate for a magnetic information recording medium with less ionic contamination, no dry defects, and accordingly causing no head crash even after being mounted on a hard disk whose head floating quantity is very small. <P>SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method for a glass substrate for a magnetic information recording medium having the public knowledge for storing the glass substrate for the magnetic information recording medium in a storage case, the storage case is rinsed using an aqueous solution with an electric resistance of 10 M&Omega; cm or less. The aqueous solution with an electric resistance of 10 M&Omega; cm or less is preferably the one obtained by penetrating and dissolving carbon dioxide in water and then adjusting the solution. The aqueous solution with an electric resistance of 10 M&Omega; cm or less is preferably the one obtained by penetrating and dissolving hydrogen gas in water and adjusting pH to 9 to 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
