<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a glass substrate for a magnetic information recording medium with less ionic contamination, no dry defects, and accordingly causing no head crash even after being mounted on a hard disk whose head floating quantity is very small. <P>SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method for a glass substrate for a magnetic information recording medium having the public knowledge for storing the glass substrate for the magnetic information recording medium in a storage case, the storage case is rinsed using an aqueous solution with an electric resistance of 10 MΩ cm or less. The aqueous solution with an electric resistance of 10 MΩ cm or less is preferably the one obtained by penetrating and dissolving carbon dioxide in water and then adjusting the solution. The aqueous solution with an electric resistance of 10 MΩ cm or less is preferably the one obtained by penetrating and dissolving hydrogen gas in water and adjusting pH to 9 to 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
