POLYSTYRENE RESIN PARTICLE, PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR, AND POLYSTYRENE FOAMED RESIN PARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polystyrene resin particle capable of providing a foamed particle of a characteristic bubble form.

SOLUTION: The polystyrene resin particle is cross-linked with a cross-linking component derived from a 2-12C aliphatic polyhydric alcohol ester of a (meth)acrylic acid. The cross-linking component is used at 0.5 to 10 pts.wt. with respect to 100 pts.wt. of a styrene monomer used for forming the polystyrene resin particle so as to be present more in the surface layer part than in the center part of the polystyrene resin particle.
