<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seabed mineral resource mining system in which the movement of a mineral miner is not restricted, and a control method thereof, in particular, to provide a seabed mineral resource mining system in which a mineral miner is prevented from dragging a conveying tube and the conveying tube is prevented from being entangled around projections on the seabed, or the like, and a control method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A seabed mineral resource mining system 1 has a mobile truck 2 which moves while following a mineral miner 3, between the mineral miner 3 and a mineral lifter 4. The mobile truck 2 has a mobile truck body 20, a drum 21 around which a conveying tube 8 is wound and which feeds out and takes up the conveying tube 8, a power unit 22 which supplies motive power to the mobile truck 2, and a plurality of travel units 23 for moving on the seabed 10.
