The device has first and second calculating units (1T, 1E), where time-triggered type application software (AM10, AM11, AM13, AM15) are implemented in the first calculating unit. The time-triggered type application software are triggered according to a predetermined temporal sequence. Event-triggered type application software (AM12, AM14, AM16) triggered by an external event reflected by asynchronous real time data are partly implemented in the second calculating unit and not implemented in the first calculating unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for distributing application software in a control device.
