The device has a cover (9) defining a housing (10) for receiving a roller shutter (3) when the shutter is wound. The cover is provided with an opening (17) between longitudinal and transverse walls (7, 16) of a submerged pool i.e. rectangular swimming pool (1), and the cover to ensure circulation of water from the pool toward the housing delimited by the cover and vice versa. Another set of openings (13, 14) is provided on another set of walls (90, 91).
