PURPOSE: A refrigerator is provided to improve aesthetic visuality not by exposing a sliding rail assembly out of a first storage chamber by using a rail cover. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator comprises a main body, a door, a first shelf, a second shelf, and a sliding unit(200). The main body comprises a storage chamber and an outer shelf. The door opens and closes the storage chamber. The first shelf is mounted in the back wall of an indoor space detachably. The sliding unit comprises a rail assembly and a rail cover and moves the second shelf back and forth. The rail cover covers the sliding rail assembly and coupled with the second shelf.
