This data transmission device is provided with: a copyright-notice-requirement-information-storing unit for storing copyright-notice-requirement-information indicating the correlation between a data transmission destination and whether a copyright notice is required; a transmission unit for transmitting data to the data transmission destination; a copyright-notice-requirement-determining unit for determining, on the basis of the data transmission destination and the copyright-notice-requirement information, whether to add a copyright notice to data to be transmitted by the transmission unit; and a copyright-notice-adding unit for adding a visible copyright notice to the data to be transmitted by the transmission unit, when the copyright-notice-requirement-determining unit determines that a copyright notice is to be added.
