<p>The method involves moving an adjustable piston of a lifting cylinder relative to an internal combustion chamber by using a positioning device of an internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine is started by using an initiator device. The adjustable piston is moved relative to the internal combustion chamber by using the positioning device due to release of firing before starting the internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine is rotated by using the initiator device.</p>
