Skin ventilation device (100) with a housing (5), which has three different inlet openings in order to ensure that various gaseous media needed for the function are able to enter the device in different ways. Since the device has an inbuilt negative-active ionizer (23) and/or an ozonizer (24) and is therefore able, according to the medical requirements, to convert molecular oxygen with a neutral electron potential to negatively ionized oxygen and/or to ozonized oxygen, the following oxygen-containing gases can be used: air at normal pressure, pure oxygen or heliox from pressurized bottles, oxygen from central supply installations of a stationary facility. Accordingly, there are different outlet openings in the device. When ozonized oxygen is used for example, the residual gas is destroyed by an ozone destroyer and is then fed through a separate discharge hose to the outflow. The mode of application of the gas when used in therapy is so-called bag ventilation (which can also be carried out using bells, cuffs, or film dressings with a foam backing).
