<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader being capable of obtaining an image with high reproducibility. <P>SOLUTION: A light source device 27 irradiates a document P at a reading position A with light. The light source device 27 comprises LEDs that emit light and light guide units 28a and 28b that guide the light emitted by the LEDs and irradiate the document P at the reading position A. The light guide units 28a and 28b are provided with prisms 50a and 50b at surfaces thereof opposite to surfaces facing the reading position A, and the prisms reflect the light guided through the light guide units 28a and 28b to the reading position A. Black sheets 44a and 44b, facing the surfaces on which the prisms 50a and 50b are provided, absorb light that is reflected by the document P at a position B, which is located at other than the reading position A, and tries to reach the reading position A through the light guide units 28a and 28B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
