<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device capable of smoothing optical output changes in a light source part when a PWM signal is swept without achieving higher frequency of a driving signal of a switching element, and to provide a lighting fixture using the same. <P>SOLUTION: A lighting device comprises a light source part 3 including a light-emitting diode 30, a lighting part 1 which receives DC voltage of a DC power supply DC1 and supplies lighting power to the light source part 3, and a control part 2 which controls the lighting part 1. The lighting part 1 includes a series circuit of an inductor L1 and a switching element Q1 and a diode D1 for regenerating a storage energy of the inductor L1 to the light source part 3 during an off period of the switching element Q1. The control part 2 includes means for intermittently driving on/off of the switching element Q1 by a PWM signal and means for driving the switching element Q1 with a high frequency during an on period of the PWM signal. The control part decreases a peak value Ith1 of a load current flowing in the light source part 3 for a specific period at the falling edge of the PWM signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
