<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel for a carburized component superior in grain coarsening prevention characteristic without causing a surface flaw when a billet is manufactured by continuous casting. <P>SOLUTION: The steel for the carburized component superior in grain coarsening prevention characteristic contains, by mass%, 0.10-0.30% C of, 0.19-0.31% Si of, 0.05-0.40% Mn of and 0.005-0.100% S of, and 0.025% or less of P: 0.05% or less of Al: and 0.020% or less of N, and the remainder being Fe and inevitable impurities, and the content of Mn and the content of S satisfy the relation: (Mn/55)/(S/32):(6.1 to 11.6). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
