<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer flocculant that can greatly improve the dehydration efficiency of sludge by forming firm and coarse flocs in dehydration of hard-to-dehydrate organic sludge and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The polymer flocculant includes (A) a water-soluble polymer containing a water-soluble unsaturated monomer (a) as a structural unit, and (B) an aromatic ring-containing carboxylic acid and/or its salt.
