<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic camera device that enables a stereoscopic camera using image pickup elements differing in image pickup time from row to row to correct not only a positional displacement between images due to optical axis misalignment but also a dynamic body distortion. <P>SOLUTION: A stereoscopic camera device 100 that detects information on the distance to an object from the degree of correlation between two images comprises image pickup means 200 in which two image pickup elements C0 and C1 that differ in image pickup time from row to row out of pixels arrayed in rows and columns, positional displacement detecting means 12 that detects the extent of a relative positional displacement between the two image pickup elements, starting time altering means 13 that alters the starting time of image picking up of one of the two image pickup elements according to the extent of the positional displacement in the perpendicular direction detected by the positional displacement detecting means, and correcting means 11 that shifts in the perpendicular direction one of the two images picked up by the two image pickup elements to about the same extent as the extent of the positional displacement in the perpendicular direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
