<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive system for a rolling stock which supplements part of electric power supplied to a vehicle from a substation to level the electric power used by the substation as power supply equipment by adjusting the amount of electricity accumulated by a power storage system mounted on the vehicle based on the information from outside the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A train operation control system 44 monitors the operation status (number of trains operated) of trains between feeder sections and provides information on the number of trains operated to a train operation command system 45. Each train is provided with a power storage means for accumulating the electric power generated by a regenerative brake. Based on such information, the train operation command system 45 commands the trains operated between feeder sections to reach a target increase/decrease value of the amount of accumulated electricity, so that the target value is transmitted to an on-board command information receiving device from a command information transmitter 10 installed on the ground. Low (high) target value is commanded to be reached by the target value of the amount of electricity accumulated according to the large (small) number of trains between the feeder sections to level the maximum power consumption. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
