<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic character recognition system or the like which uses an idle time without waste. <P>SOLUTION: An automatic character recognition system 10 has: an image information acquisition means 31 for acquiring image information; an image information acquisition control section 32; a display control section 34 which allows display means to display image information stored in the image information acquisition control section 32, as an original image; an optical character recognition section 36 which extracts characters from a batch of image information stored in the image information acquisition means 31 by an optical pattern recognition method; and a character recognition control section 35. Then, when receiving a start signal from starting means 16, the image information acquisition control section 32 and the character recognition control section 35 independently controls respective control targets repeatedly, and as soon as the image information acquisition control section 32 stores the batch of image information, the display control section 34 allows the display means 40 to independently display the image information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
