<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the security of position data to be added to image data. <P>SOLUTION: A digital camera acquires longitude and latitude data with a GPS receiver 21, adds the data to captured image data, and stores the image data in a storage section 42. When the acquired longitude and latitude data indicates a neighborhood of a previously registered user's home, an image processing section 26 converts the longitude and latitude data into null data and also adds text data "Home" to the data, and stores them in the storage section 42.
