<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy generation of a wide-field-angle panoramic image in which image distortions generated due to inconstant distances from an imaging apparatus are corrected. <P>SOLUTION: A synthesis processing unit 29 clips images from a plurality of captured images and connects the clipped images together to generate a panoramic image. A modification processing unit 30 reduces or enlarges the panoramic image based on distance information obtained by measuring distances to a subject at a plurality of positions in the subject to correct image distortions of the subject in the panoramic image generated due to differences between distances to the subject. A wide-field-angle panoramic image in which image distortions generated due to inconstant distances from an imaging apparatus are corrected can be easily generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
