<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact device that suppresses shock of contact between contacts. <P>SOLUTION: Upon energization of a coil 13, a movable iron core 17 is moved in a direction toward a fixed iron core 15, and movable contacts 31 provided in a movable contactor 29 that is moved integrally with the movable iron core 17 are brought into contact with fixed contacts 35. Each of the fixed contacts 35 has: a fixed portion 35a that is mounted and fixed to a fixed contact holding portion 41 through a fixed terminal 37; and a contact mounting portion 37b that bends at an angle of 90 degrees and extends from the fixed portion 35a.
