<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide two-component developer that maintains the stable amount of charge after multiple times of printing, suppresses variation in the amount of charge irrespective of change in printing environment (for example, change from normal temperature and humidity to high temperature and humidity), provides high-quality printed materials continuously with high density and no fogging, and causes less scattering of toner inside an image forming apparatus to ensure maintainability of the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: Two-component developer contains toner obtained by allowing an external additive to be adhered to toner base particles, and a carrier obtained by providing a resin coating layer on the surface of core material particles. The resin coating layer of the carrier comprises a binder resin containing an acrylic resin. When the resin coating layer is observed from the core material particle side and the surface side, larger amount of nitrogen element is contained on the core material particle side than on the surface side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
