PURPOSE: A direction conversion apparatus of a wheelchair is provided to easily change directions and return to the original position without the conversion of directions due to the rotation of main wheels. CONSTITUTION: A direction conversion apparatus of a wheelchair includes a main body part(30), a rotary member(41), a rotary type seat member(40), and a leg loading part(60). Driving wheels are arranged at the lower part of the main body part. The main body part includes various controllers and one or more motors and parts. The rotary member is vertically installed on the upper part of the main body part. The rotary member rotates on the basis of the torque from a direction conversion motor and a gear. The rotary type seat member is integrated with a back frame and is spaced apart from the upper part of the main body part. The rotary seat member is fixed to the upper part of the rotary member and rotates with the rotary member.
