PURPOSE: A capsule compressing a filling material for extracting beverage, and a beverage extracting method using thereof are provided to reduce the beverage extraction time. CONSTITUTION: A capsule(100) includes a body(110), a cover(120), a compression plate(130), and a filter(140). The body includes an opening on the upper side, and is filled with a filling material. The cover seals the opening on the upper side of the body. The compression plate is located on the lower side of the cover for compressing the filling material by descending along to an inner wall of the body. The filter is located on the lower side of the filling material for preventing the filling material from being discharged into beverage.
