PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for storing electronic access clients are provided to activate only one copy of eSIM(electronic Subscriber Identity Module) anytime using transmission and receiving devices. CONSTITUTION: A source device and a destination device agree to a protocol(302). A protocol type is based on a software version which can be identified as a clear text. Source and destination devices set a shared secret(304). Devices verify a device identity by examining a digital signature. The devices exchange other secure tokens for a challenge, a unique identifier, or encoding for an access control client if the signature is valid. The source device packages the access control client with a secrete(306). The packaged access control client is transmitted from the source device to the destination device(308).
