A method and apparatus to simulate the performance of a predictive daylight harvesting system is disclosed herein. The system comprises a controller that receives real-time input data from daylight photosensors, occupancy sensors, timers, personal lighting controls, utility energy consumption reports, and local weather reports, continually calculates "what-if" scenarios based on a representation of the illuminated interior and exterior environments to predict the best electric lighting and fenestration control configuration that meets user-defined requirements while maximizing annual energy savings, and controls the electric lighting and automated fenestration devices accordingly.
|
