The device has a liquid storage tank (2) arranged in an enclosure (1) i.e. methane tanker base, and comprising a side support (26) provided with two movable parts (30, 31) that are movable with respect to each other along any direction, where the parts form a single assembly. A control unit i.e. solenoid valve, controls relative mobility of the parts. The parts are mounted on an inner surface (29) of the enclosure and an outer surface (28) of the storage tank, respectively. The parts are arranged in continuous contact with each other by contact elements.
