<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor, in which evaporation of a lubricating oil is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: A motor 12 includes a stationary part and a rotation part. The stationary part includes a shaft, and an upper thrust part 42 extended from the upper part of the shaft to the radial outside. The rotation part includes a sleeve, and an upper hub annular part including a tubular part and an annular cover. The upper thrust part 42 has an inner cylinder surface 741 extended in the vertical direction in the radial inner side than the outer circumferential surface, and an outer annular surface 742 positioned in the radially outer side than the inner cylinder surface 741. Between the lower surface of the annular cover and the outer annular surface 742, an annular radial gap 663a is constituted which has axial width smaller than the maximum width of an upper seal between the outer circumferential surface of the upper thrust part 42 and the inner circumferential surface of the tubular part, and between an inner edge of the radial inside of the annular cover and the inner cylinder surface, an annular axial gap is constituted which has radial width smaller than the maximum width of the upper seal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
