<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode capable of inhibiting the degradation of battery characteristics associated with the oxidation reaction of a conductive assistant, and a battery comprising the positive electrode. <P>SOLUTION: The positive electrode for a battery contains a positive electrode active material, a conductive assistant 12 conducting electrons of the positive electrode active material, a collector collecting the electrons of the positive electrode active material via the conductive assistant 12, and a binder binding the positive electrode active material, the conductive assistant 12, and the collector to one another. At least a portion of the composition of the conductive assistant 12 is composed of an oxidation-resistant conductive assistant 12A. The oxidation-resistant conductive assistant 12A includes conductive cores 15, at least a portion of the surfaces of the cores 15 are covered with an aluminum layer 16, and an aluminum oxide layer 17 is formed on the surface of the aluminum layer 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
