<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide printed matter having sufficient light-blocking ability without thickening the entire light-blocking layer, and without unevenness being formed on a surface when the printed matter is viewed, and to provide a method of manufacturing the printed matter. <P>SOLUTION: The printed matter 1 includes a base material 30 and the light-blocking layer 31 provided on one side of the base material 30. The printed matter 1 has a deformation part 41 that is deformably processed and stretched, and the light-blocking layer 32 provided in a region including the deformation part 41 on a backside of the base material 30 when the printed matter 1 is viewed, and having the light-blocking ability.
