<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a character from performing an action against the intention of a player due to a false sound input, in an action game where a player character performs predetermined actions by sound input. <P>SOLUTION: Sound generated by a player clapping hands is converted into an electric signal by a microphone and input to a game device. When a jump instruction is input, a character jumps. Only when the character is located on a jumping board installed in a virtual game world, the character jumps in response to the hand clapping of the player. When the character is not located on the jumping board and surrounding noise is input by the microphone, the character does not jump but performs a provocative action.
