The device (1) has a wheel (2) fastened at a wheel carrier, and a damper strut (3) defining a vehicle body-side. A connection region is spaced between a transverse leaf spring (13) and the carrier based on a resulting force application point (6) of tire contact force (F2) acting in a region of the wheel in a vehicle transverse direction. The force is applied in the connection region that is provided among the carrier, the spring and the strut by an applying system (15). Rotational torque is partially compensatable in a region of the body-side attachment of the strut and acting at the carrier.
