<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rail supporting device of an elevator which can improve overall stiffness in the torsion of a wall side bracket and a rail side bracket and can reduce the deflection of a guide rail regardless of a loading direction. <P>SOLUTION: The rail supporting device 10 has the wall side bracket 11, the rail side bracket 12, a reinforced member attaching plate 13, a pair of reinforced members 14, two pairs of rail clips 15, a plurality of anchor bolts 16, a plurality of bolts 17 and a plurality of nuts 18. The reinforced member attaching plate 13 is positioned so as to overlap with a wall side bracket attaching face 11a in a horizontal direction. The reinforced member attaching plate 13 is put between the wall side bracket attaching face 11a and a hoistway wall 1a. One end of each of the reinforced members 14 is fixed at a lower end of the reinforced member attaching plate 13.
