The present invention discloses a plant growth promoting composition for improving the biomass yield of plants by means of enhancing the absorption efficiency of the plants, more preferably, the foliage of the plants, towards the nutritive components therein. Said plant growth promoting composition comprising a liquidized inorganic fertilizer comprising nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, trace elements ratio of ranging from 1:1:1:0.1 to 15:15:15:2; and at least a plant growth element for enhancing the metabolism activities of a plant, and thereby optimizes the magnitude of the nutritive substances in the liquidized inorganic fertilizer to be absorbed into the plant's tissues. Said plant growth element includes amino acids and vitamins obtained from yeast extract, and plant growth hormones such as auxins,. gibberellins and cytokinins.
