<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of printing a tire surface capable of printing a letter, a picture or the like on the side surface of the tire while satisfying a position precision and productivity without a wrinkle and a deterioration of tire performance, and to provide a printer for the tire. <P>SOLUTION: This printer includes: a printer head 2 arranged in the vicinity of the rotating tire 1, jetting and applying paint; an unevenness-detecting sensor 3 detecting a specific uneven letter on the surface of the rotating tire 1; and a PC 10 setting the rotation origin of the rotating tire 1 based on a signal detected by the unevenness-detecting sensor 3 and controlling to keep a constant relation between the position of the uneven letter and the application position of the paint by synchronizing the rotation origin with a timing of starting the operation of the printer head 2. The desired printing is conducted by jetting the paint from the printer head 2 and applying the paint onto the surface of the rotating tire 1 which is assembled on a rim, is filled with the internal pressure and is inflated to a regular shape. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
