<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve operating mechanism of an internal combustion engine attaining smooth operation by reducing resistant load when a cam moves. <P>SOLUTION: The valve operating mechanism of the internal combustion engine has a cam rotatably and pivotally supported by a cylinder head 10 and movable in an axial direction of the same, a cam fork shaft 41 moving the cam in the axial direction of the same via a cam forks 48, and thrust force generating mechanism converting the rotation force of a drive motor into a cam axial direction. Further, the valve operating mechanism has a coupling mechanism so as to couple the plurality of cam forks 48 and transmit the thrust force from a thrust force generating mechanism to the cam fork shaft 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
