<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate maintenance of a liquid discharge device. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid discharge device includes a liquid discharge head in which the nozzle opening formation surface extends in a direction inclined with respect to the horizontal direction, and the end of the nozzle opening formation surface on one side in the inclination direction is located above the end on the other side, a liquid absorber located further on the other side in the inclination direction than the end on the other side of the nozzle opening formation surface, and a cleaning part that discharges the liquid in the liquid discharge head forcibly from the nozzle opening by pressurizing the liquid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
