<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission management apparatus capable of causing a user of each transmission terminal to grasp which terminals attend a conference, without regard to the number of the transmission terminals attending the conference. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission management apparatus 50 manages transmission states of a plurality of transmission terminals 10. The apparatus includes: a terminal management DB 5003 configured to store therein a terminal management table in which terminal information including an identifier and an identification name of each transmission terminal 10 is managed; a transmitting and receiving unit 51 configured to receive a terminal information request signal indicating a request for information for identifying a transmission terminal 10 and a transmission terminal being in transmission therebetween; and a terminal state acquisition unit 55 configured to acquire the information for identifying the transmission terminal 10 and the transmission terminal being in transmission therebetween when the terminal information request signal is received.
