<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic vending machine capable of necessarily storing registered merchandise in a rack. <P>SOLUTION: This automatic vending machine configured to register merchandise for each rack, and to store the merchandise registered for each rack includes registration regulating means 40c for regulating merchandise to be registered to a merchandise group satisfying conditions to be determined by the rack. Therefore, the registered merchandise is supposed to satisfy the conditions to be determined by the rack. For example, the merchandise group satisfying the conditions when the rack is positioned in a merchandise storage shed whose heating is set is the merchandise group which can be heated, and the merchandise to be registered is regulated to the merchandise group which can be heated so that it is possible to prevent any merchandise which cannot be heated from being registered.
